WALK TO SCHOOL
WEEK
15 - 19 OCTOBER 2007
October is International Walk to School month and
at Snaresbrook College, we are dedicating the final week of the half term to our
WALK TO SCHOOL WEEK competitions.
The Foundation Stage and the Infant Department will
be taking part in class competitions for creating stick puppets in the shape of
"STRIDER". These will be judged on Friday 19th October and the winners
will each receive a t-shirt.
The Junior children will be creating leaflets
which will champion walking to school. Possible themes may include how
this helps your health and your environment and also how walking to school
can help to ease congestion and increase safety in the roads surrounding the
school. The winning leaflets for each class will be distributed to parents
when we return to school after the half term break and the winners will also win
t-shirts.
We will carry on walking to school once a week,
or more if we can, to earn our badges for next year too.
