School Council

School Council Representatives
The School Council consists of representative members of  Years 2 - 6.  Representatives, 1 girl and 1 boy, are elected annually by secret ballot in their class.  The council meets periodically throughout the year to discuss issues relevant to the children.  For example, in the past, the council has discussed school dinners, breakfast club, playground toys and are at present discussing after school care food.  Minutes from the meeting are presented to staff and the children's opinions are taken into account when making decisions.
School Council members are responsible for representing the views of their class during the meetings and reporting back the outcome.
There was a school council meeting on Tuesday 16th October where pupils discussed class views on
  • What do you think we should be trying to do as a school?
  • What improvements could we make?
  • How can pupils contribute?
