Reception

The Reception children have an ICT lesson every week.

During the Autumn term this lesson takes place in the Reception class where pupils are given access to a set of Roamers.  The children learn to program the Roamer to move.  They estimate distance and give Roamer instructions by pressing buttons, in order, on the device.

In the Spring and Summer terms the pupils are given an ICT lesson in the ICT Room.  These lessons focus on the ability to log on independently, navigate the network and to generally gain confidence on the computer in readiness for the ICT National Curriculum syllabus which starts in Year 1.
