Art
Art stimulates pupil creativity and imagination. It provides visual,
tactile and sensory experiences and a way of understanding and responding to
the world.
The purpose of Art lessons are to introduce children to proportion,
shape, form, texture, pattern, colour, tone, different materials and
processes to communicate what they see, feel and think.
Children will cover the following topics: pencil drawings of portraits
and still life. Colour mixing, painting and mask making as well as
sculpturing with clay.
The experiences gained during lessons will also contribute in a cross
curricular way which will improve children's display of work in other
subjects.
