Where the PTA funds go
The funds from the Quiz Night and Christmas Bazaar in 2006 and Pamper
Evening and Frog Racing and Curry Evening in 2007 were used to purchase the
new wooden structure at the bottom of the playground. The children are enjoying
using this as seating, an impromptu stage and a quieter relaxation area.
It also acts as an outdoor extension of the nursery teaching space.
In January 2008 the PTA bought a £400 Yamaha P70 (see below) and a stand
which can be used in various places throughout the school. Most recently,
the PTA bought 180 new sports bibs in house colours which were put to good use
at the Sports Day in June!
The PTA have agreed to earmark £3000 from the existing
PTA funds for a new, high quality piano for the School. Approximately another
£1000 will be needed which we aim to raise this academic year. The piano would be
used for assemblies, class music lessons, concerts (including Christmas and
Easter) and drama and musical productions. It would therefore benefit all
children.

Over the last two years the PTA has provide a wealth of new facilities
for Snaresbrook pupils.
These include:
-
Three large waterproof gazebos for use at school events and in the
playground
-
Theatre performances by touring theatre companies
-
Playground toys, tricycles, pogo sticks, hoppers and scooters
-
IT equipment – Interactive white boards, projectors, digital cameras,
electronic toys
-
Drama make up and props
-
A sun hat for every child in the school
-
Digital cameras
-
Roamer robots
This academic
year we would like to buy new brown, yellow and blue bibs for Sports Day and new
brown, yellow and blue swimming caps for the Swimming Gala. We also understand
that the children would like a new high quality electric organ to add to the
existing three in use and some new recorders.
